doughnuts-asian cuisine?

ok, last night, i was in a bad way...i really could not keep my head up, i had the makings of the onset of a bad headache and so i crashed early. only to be woken up again by the tornado sirens.

i decided that hail is the evil stepbrother of snowflake. and the dogs started barking at the hail because it sounded like someone tapping on the window. (3rd floor, i knew better) i had no desire to go out and see how big it was; i just went back to bed wondering what my car was going to look like in the morning...i purposely park between two big trucks hoping it hits them first, but it's not like hail is a heat guided missile, it's gonna fall where it's gonna fall.

so you can imagine my relief when i got up early and saw no damage..and i looked from every angle! why did i get up early? well, i decided that my problem last night was lack of sugar in my system...so doughnuts really would help set my day straight. and i did it.

just playing with my food...don't worry, this was AFTER i offered one to you, xochitl

i went and got me some kolaches and doughnuts! i've been wondering if doughnuts are an asian cuisine because in a 5 mile radius, i've visited 3 different shops and at each shop, the owners are asian. nothing wrong with that, just curious.

and i also made a stop at the texaco for diet coke and claritin...and maybe some chocolate. (WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME! i'm feeling a little like tina fey on 30 rock).

did you hear about the usps stamp gaffe? they made a stamp in honor of the statue of liberty, but the photography they chose was actually from a replica at the new york hotel in vegas. bah! and the spokesperson actually said that they still would've picked that photo...really? i mean, c'mon, this is a piece of history-a symbol of freedom that really held significance to all of the immigrants coming into ellis island-people who came into america with the hope of working hard to create their fortune. on the other hand, the replica in vegas represents (in my mind) the complete opposite.

bruno and chaco are having a little 'stare off' over a piece of rawhide. at first they didn't say anything, then out of nowhere, bruno said, "hey! if you don't give me the chew, i'm gonna tell her you eat your poop." and chaco stopped and yelled back, "liar liar pants on fire! i don't eat my poo, you do!" (i must stop reading dr. seuss to him) so, i don't know who to believe, although the other week when i was making the beef jerky, bruno was watching, and he said, "hmm...that kinda reminds me of something." but when i asked him what, he just kinda snickered and wouldn't tell me...

tomorrow = last saturday school ever! (...for now).

yes, i might be a little excited! i'm just going to spend the rest of this evening basking in that realization!
