flowers, student cards and new shoes!

definitely went to the original pancake house today and LOVED it! best bacon...EVER! (even better than kamp!) poached eggs, bacon and 2 buttermilk pancakes! yummo! mom's banana/pecan crepe looked really good as well. and we finished up and got out probably before most of the kids at school finished their breakfasts!
I LOVE BACON!!!
then i decided to run by school so that i could try to get a few things done so that when i go back it won't be crazy times! i got a couple of things done, and had to stop in to ask maria about a couple of things (which was when ms. johnson and ms. sowe brought down some flowers and a card-what a great team!) they were beautiful-i should have surgeries more often..it's the only time i get flowers! smile.
i had to strap them in! safety first, safety last and safety in between!
i also got some sweet cards from the students. some are very basic, others are rather interesting!
isn't this a great package! so inviting!

i don't know if he thought i was on a vacation to hawaii, or what...(gigi)

are there actually horses at the zoo?

apparently this student understands the basics of back surgery!

i'm glad that i'm not considered hairy.

when i got home, i took a power nap and when i was woken up by the pzizz man, i decided that i needed 2 power naps! and then i went and got some new chacos for the summer because they were on sale! they will certainly get used! this year i hope to come away from summer with a chaco tan! (speaking of the shoes, not my pup)
excited to break them in!
and i just got the call from benefits that i have been cleared to come back to work! just in time for field day. (no exclamation point). what was i thinking...i should've stuck with her suggestion of next tuesday. oh well, less pressure to finish things.

back to the grind...nothing like the end of the school-year!!

free samples-i love saturdays!

it's a good thing chronicles of narnia was on this morning, because that made me feel a little better...

**BRUNO PEED OUTSIDE!!  you don't understand what a wonderful accomplishment this is! i definitely celebrated! hopefully it wasn't just a fluke! we had a great little walk! there is a neat little patch on the backside of the complex with beautiful wild flowers.
love this patch of  wild flowers

this is what they did when we went into the little gated doggy park. they never run and play to expend their energy...instead, they followed me around, and bruno peed. woohoo!
then we went out of the complex and i notice the streetlight as we were walking by, so i snapped a picture of it. i get mesmerized by streetlights sometimes. when i am at a light, i sometimes notice if the little bitty lights are missing, and it bugs me. they remind me of the lite brite toy i used to play with when i was young (the one with the black paper that you plug little light pegs into and they shine-i loved it!)
and sometimes if you look at it long enough, it seems like the little lights move in patterns-optical illusion-but don't stare too long because the honking behind you is not an auditory illusion.
fascinating, right?
in fact, i remember when i lived in branson especially i loved coming down 76 in at the stoplight by the good shepherd hotel around Christmas when it was snowy and you could see red and green street lights and if you squinted your eyes just right, it looked like a Christmas ornament. (with bob evans in the background, so you might not opt to put that one on your tree).

once we got home, i went to tom thumb for groceries because it's the closest. how did i not know that saturday is the day?! there were sample people everywhere! i passed by several sample people to get what i needed. then a starbucks lady brought an instant starbucks coffee and few minutes later another offered a frapuccino (granted they were mini); and that's when i went to get my last item (fresh salsa) and i was closeer to the cash register, which is where i should have gone...but i turned around to try one more sample that i had passed by. i am so glad that i did because i tried these little spinach/feta sausages-amazing!! guess what, i will probably begin shopping on saturdays from now on!
if you can find these, they are totally worth it! slice em up and yum-o!
i may or may not have just been flipping through the channels and stopped on cspan 3..civil war volunteers/blue and gray...

free samples rock!
