it's a good thing i never grew up on 'veggie tales' or i might feel a little guilty

well, so far so good-i have not hurt anyone.

since i decided on the no more diet coke, i also decided to get back on my diet...it's game time ya'all! went to sprouts on saturday and it was good to get back into the groove! yesterday i made my meals for the week-i'll be partaking of a taco-ish salad, lettuce wraps, tahini-tomato stuffed chicken breast, bun-less burgers...i got it covered!
lots of veggies and fruits
i had to throw out a bunch of stuff that i know i cannot have, so that i won't be tempted by it! tomorrow i will have test #1: they provide the best catered meals for our tues. night ed-policy class! i will take my meal with me and pretend that it is whatever they are having!

the boys are pretty excited about the new meal plan because they really like carrots and apples. silly boys.

and another fun little treat was the groupon that i took advantage of today-a little facial and massage action! woo hoo! (i really don't treat myself often enough) i feel relaxed just thinking about it! it was hard to pass up because it was so cheap!

i would like to take just a moment to recognize the passing of one of america's great mousekateer icons, annette funicello.

as well, may margaret thatcher rest in peace! the iron lady-with a will of steel; such a determined ally in step with president reagan. when i was mentioning thatcher and reagan to the boys, they got all excited, because they were thinking of the politicians' namesakes, b-mayes' boys, up in wyoming. they miss getting together to play! then i started to explain the powerful duo and first chaco walked away, then bruno after feigning interest for about 30 seconds, yawned and went to the screen door to enjoy the breeze (as opposed to the hot air). they have no idea!

if you want to stop a conversation real quickly, just cock your head, act like you don't understand and bark

ok, so bmayes received her package and now i can share those pics i was waiting to share! you kinda have to know brittany to appreciate the gift...she is licensed to practice law in tx and ok (so proud of her!), and is a huge reagan conservative-woohoo! she named her female dog reagan, and her male dog thatcher (after margaret thatcher-one of britain's great prime ministers). so these items were deemed most appropriate:
this is why the asian language confused me...i didn't realize they were fond of margie...

reagan cards and cd of great speeches.
i told bmayes that i was dying to see the actual cards in both decks, and i was really close to opening them and re-sealing them with my shrink wrapper...

and you may or may not remember these little ornament numbers i bought-if the economy gets worse by next Christmas, b, you could always do ELF at the mall. please do that. i will come up to oklahoma for that!
pretty sure santa will make her dump the iphone, but i am also pretty sure she'll beat up the chic that makes fun of santa on Christmas eve.
the boys have been vying for a position on my lap...true lap dogs...the thing is bruno is not one for laying on my lap, he just stands there staring off into space. chaco actually sits or sleeps. so it's been something like this:
they kinda have to cuddle to fit at the same time

or chaco will crawl under bruno and sit half underneath him while he just stands there helping me with my next move on scrabble or something.
when chaco and i went to the office to pay rent, shannon saw him at the door she and mandie stood there telling him to come in and he was doing his little happy feet dance and wagging his nub of a tail until i finally opened the door and let him in. mandie grabbed a milkbone treat and broke it up for him, but he's picky. when we left, he looked up and said, "mama, why don't they have the soft treats? those things are like rocks" and i couldn't help but thinking he was a little spoiled and ungrateful-kinda like my students complaining about free breakfast; i'm not okay with that. so when i told him beggars can't be choosers, he just cocked his head and acted like he didn't understand. (he's gotten really good at that when he wants to end a conversation).

well, i'm off to make some sugar cookies!
