who ate my lesson plans?

why do people start sentences with "let's see, now.."? as if they weren't seeing before... how is a blind person supposed to take that? perhaps super disappointed when no miracle of vision follows those words?

i just cannot stop being thrilled about my new technology!! the fact that we took our tests today and i was able to instantly scan them to know the results was amazing! and at the same time somewhat unsettling-we are going to need to be pushing it into overdrive, people! in pretty much every category!

Today i got home at a reasonable hour, and i took the boys for a walk; it was a pleasant walk because the weather was so incredible! then we got to the mail carousel, and i'm pretty sure the lady who walked up at the same time thought i had a loose screw because i looked down and bruno gave me one of his looks, so i responded, "i know!" completely acceptable in pet-owner-world...completely unappreciated in pet-hater-land. in other news...creeper squirrel was checking us out on our walk today!
he was staring at us until i went to take the pic...go figure!

i have to make a plug for my recent endeavors with the Teaching Trust Ed Policy program i am in...i was given the mission to write a REAL blog post, and it is of course about teaching stuff-evaluative observation and feedback to be exact. don't be afraid to check it out here!

i'm very excited about going to the perot museum with my students tomorrow! ok....let me rephrase, i'm very excited about going to the perot museum tomorrow!

i got home a little later than expected yesterday, and someone decided to let me know that they think lesson planning is overrated if it takes time away from them...
i may need to try harder to finish at school...only i feel like i seldom have a planning period to use for these types of planning things..

i also took the next step toward the leadership program-i set up my hour phone interview...oh boy.
no way to really prepare for it, so i'll just re-read the three essays i submitted and hope for the best!

off to enjoy the rest of my evening, since i don't have to plan for too much tomorrow!

i hate first days and i hate supplies!

i'm BEAT!

between last week and today, i feel like i haven't stopped physically nor mentally. i.am.tired. boo.

today went semi-smoothly, even though i do not feel like i was on my game, nor was i 100% as prepared as i like to be. but we made it through the day! tomorrow will be more productive. i'm sure of it!

today i walked into the library and it was switched ALL around! i like it. also, prominently displayed is our principal, dr. hughes in a disd poster..i signed up for my library days-can't wait to see what they will hold.
.this must have been on dr. seuss' birthday.
and i left at a decent hour today, and am very thankful for the new walmart neighborhood mart place near school. i had to grab some produce to get back on track!
the cashier was an older lady and she said, "have a great day! if you can't sleep tonight, come on back, we're open all night!" oh, marketing. nothing beats insomnia like going to walmart, i suppose.
yesterday it took forever for me to finish my lesson plans. the worst part was that i was doing a lot of procrastinating. while it was raining out, i dumped my cooler and got some bleach to clean out whatever had grown in it over the summer...then i cleaned off the table in the breakfast nook and moved it into my room...and i did some laundry...was about to bake some angel food cake when i realized i didn't have an angel food pan, nor did i have two loaf pans that were the right size...yep, i tried everything, but the responsible side of me made me do it. we even went as far as to practice different poses for a birthday picture for bmayes! so the boys were definitely part of the problem!

they've gotten pretty good at posing. (before we took these pics, they were holding signs: WILL POSE FOR TREATS
and all day at school today i was wishing for chocolate. in fact i was kicking myself for not getting any while i was at 7-11. then i forgot to get any while i was at walmart this afternoon...so finally i was digging in my bag for my usb cord, and there was a bag of peanut m&m's that i didn't eat at the training last week and had forgotten about! it was better than finding $5 in a coat pocket!

well, that's all i got. time to rest up so we can go again tomorrow!
