hoping heaven has clean sheets...and peppermint hershey kisses!

they don't love it, but they will sit still with silly props for a minute as long as they know there is some sort of treat waiting on the other side of the silliness!
look at chaco! he was grumbling under his breath the entire time!

well, it's monday again. ok, monday's over, it's actually almost tuesday. i have to change up my lesson plans a bit because i forgot we have a field trip this week! woo hoo! i love the theater! the kids will too.

if you need something to pray about, please feel free to pray that God will infuse some sort of supernatural brain-power and motivation into my students! apathy, i tell ya!

so to avoid being frustrated with school, i put that energy to work to create a work-station in my room, which works much better than what i previously had, and gives me condensed storage in one spot! it took a pretty powerful drill to get the hole in there for my power cords to go through...but i got it done! i still have some finishing touches, but they'll get done when they get done!

ok, so it's a little make-shift, but it works out really well for my purposes! i'd been thinking about how i was going to do this. i had an idea in my mind, so when i saw this old tabletop without any legs on in by the dumpster, i knew it was what i needed! so i hauled it in on a dolly and sanded it and made it work. it's quite compact and i do have a lot of storage under there!

i've decided that there is nothing quite as luxurious as freshly washed sheets (except perhaps getting into those sheets with freshly shaved legs!)...i LOVE that feeling! in fact, if there were beds in heaven (which i'm pretty sure there won't be, but if there were...) there would be clean sheets every night! and bald legs...hmmm... i wonder what glorified bodies will actually be like.

i love it when our principal sends out the monthly lists! here are some great things for this week:

National Cookie Cutter Week (12/1-12/7)
Recipe Greetings for the Holidays (12/2-12/8)
National Handwashing Awareness Week (12/4-12/10)

so the peppermint hershey's kisses are back and they had a new flavor...cherry cordial. hmm...i had to try them because my mom introduced me to chocolate covered cherries, and i liked, so i had to check and see if these guys were any good (c'mon, the cheapest chocolate out there-the most bang for your buck)...well, i went through the bag more quickly than i had hoped. well, i had a craving for something tonight, so i crushed my own peppermints and melted some chocolate (pink coating, and mixed it up and melted it, and now i have a little sweet snack) not quite the same, but it will suffice! i just love crunching on the little peppermint pieces...i'm a cruncher.

get excited!

happy national cookie cutter week!
