last night walking home, it was so cool outside that i was amazed,(90`) so i came in and got the boys harnessed up and chaco was about to pee himself he was so excited! once we got out the door, chaco was off to the races, but bruno was acting like one of those cartoon mules that just sits on its haunches and doesn't budge. i had to drag him down the stairs and he walked a little and sat, walked...sat. this happened for the first 30 ft and i said,"oh, no,no,no. mama is not playing this game." i unleashed him and carried him right back up to the apt. and put him inside and chaco and i took off.
chaco looked at me and asked why bruno didn't like going on walks. i just shook my head and said, "not sure, buddy. hopefully he'll get back into it soon." there was a cool breeze as we made our way around the ponds. it was great. chaco wasn't real fond of the sprinklers, but he loved stopping and playing in the puddles! when we came upstairs from the walk i could hear bruno inside the door hollerin'. hopefully he learned his lesson and will choose to join us.
they've been resting all day and when i asked them why, bruno said, "the game's on tonight!" so i shouldn't have been too surprised when i was watching something and all of a sudden at 7:00 i saw the record light come on. so i changed the channel.
chaco: boomer!
bruno from the kitchen: sooner!
bruno was in getting the snacks ready at kickoff. yep, they know they're from oklahoma.
and only 10 minutes into it, they have lost interest and are playing with the dragon. almost as bad as the kids at the game last night!
hopefully we will fall to sleep tonight with the memory of the sounds of many canons in our ears! (i had to explain to the boys why they shoot the canon and what boomers and sooners are)
